If you ask me, what my specialty is? I would say, I can transform your perception into a photograph. Especially of wildlife subjects. I have the genuine ability to recognize your insights and help you capture the subject.
There was a time when I watched only National Geographic and Discovery channels. Those were my fond memories of childhood. I intently observed when a Leopard chased a Deer. I noticed the animal behavior, speed, spots, and surroundings. I was drawn towards their natural environment.
I did not own a camera back then. I regularly visited a friend’s photo studio and learned photography on my own. I got my first photography project to cover the cultural event at my college. I was elated.
After a few years, I was abroad pursuing a career in Computer Applications. I bought myself a camera and began exploring cities. I enjoyed clicking pictures of castles in European cities. Though, secretly I craved wildlife photography.
Soon, I returned to India. I began traveling to the jungles. It kept me on my toes. I wanted to do more for nature. I became a trained naturalist from Jungle Lodges & Resorts. I quit my software job and immediately approached schools. I started a kids program called ‘Connect with nature’. I explained to them how butterflies and ants are a part of our eco-system.
Slowly, parents noticed my passion for nature. It was upon their request that I conducted photography workshops for adults. There was a lot of learning. I taught about natural history along with photography aspects. I received appreciative testimonials from participants on my method of teaching.
That’s how I developed a strong footing on nature and photography. Today, when you accompany me for a photo tour, you will learn how to represent your thoughts in a photograph. You will learn how to love and respect nature. Your photographs will be masterpieces and you will be a nature lover for life.
